Ahh thanks for calling this out. I wasn't aware that that different methods of generating chords yielded different distributions. Also that video is fantastic. Grant is a goddam hero. I'll go ahead and tweak the wording to make it unambiguous how to generate random chords. That being said, I think it would be interesting if you attempted to try a different method and then we could compare! Although I have no idea how gnarly the subsequent calculations would be.
Also, as an interesting aside, the original version of the puzzle problem write-up included a wording that made it unambiguous how to generate the random chords but then I intentionally obscured it so as to let the reader discover how to do it. Joke's on me I guess :)
